I can’t believe it’s already that time of the year again! This was quite a year of change and at times, turmoil, but right now, I feel like I have plenty to be thankful for…
Another year older and wiser
It’s one of those years when my birthday falls directly on Thanksgiving. I’m grateful that I get to celebrate growing older while also being reminded of my blessings. I’m especially grateful that part of my celebrations includes checking something off my bucket list… going to the Macy’s Day Parade!!! Ever since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to see the parade in person and I can’t believe it’s finally happening. More importantly, we’ll be doing it the right way… My cousin gave us the hook-up and we’ll be viewing it in the grandstands IN FRONT OF MACY’S! Look for me on the TV, friends.

Being thankful for family is a given. My parents and brother do so much for me that it would be impossible to recount every little thing they do. I’m grateful for a family that loves me unconditionally and continously brings joy to my life. I’m also thankful for an awesome extended family! I babysit my little cousins weekly and getting the chance to see them grow has been so rewarding. I am definitely grateful that most of my family lives locally!
Friends Forever
Everyone says they have the greatest friends, but I really really do. I always have a strong shoulder to cry on in the sad times or someone to buy me a drink and give me a toast in the happy ones. From honest, heartfelt advice, to ladies night martinis to amazing gifts, (my best friend gave me an early bday gift…FINALLY going to see The Lion King on Broadway in January… thanks Lex! I’m super grateful for this as it’s also something that’s been on my bucket list) my friends are priceless. I know the ones that are by my side now will be by my side 30 years from now and that is certainly a blessing.
Workin’ day & night
I LOVE MY JOB! I recently got a job in my field, and thus far, there is not a single thing I can complain about. I love what I’m doing and the children I’m working with, especially how I never have to look at the clock when I’m there -I’m always having too much fun. And I absolutely adore the whole staff, which is on the smaller side, everyone has been so friendly and welcoming. I’m so lucky that I found a place that is a perfect fit for me!
Lucky in Love
My boyfriend has been such an important part of my life. This year was kinda tough and he stayed by my side through all of it, never wavering in his love while constantly encouraging and assuring me. I’m so grateful to be in such a loving, healthy relationship. He brings out the best side in me, and I know I do the same for him. He’s my silly, ridiculous, perfect other half and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I feel like I have so many other things to be thankful for… my health (as well as all my loved one’s), a roof over my head, always having a warm meal… but those are just a few of the bigger ones that come to mind. I’m certainly looking forward to Thanksgiving and kicking off the holiday season! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
